About the blogger…

I graduated from Columbia University in 2007 with a major in American Studies. After graduating, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do (thanks to the liberal arts major!). Somehow luck was on my side, and instead of starting a typical entry-level job out of school, I fell into a career in marketing by being selected to participate in the Direct Marketing Educational Foundation’s (DMEF) Next Generation Leaders Program.  During the program I rotated through four different marketing companies in New York City including Wunderman, eScholastic, Goodman&Company and Harte-Hanks. Coming out of the program, I was hired full time by Goodman&Company, a strategic marketing consultancy and one of the sponsor companies I rotated through during my program.

After three fantastic foundational years at Goodman, working for clients like Microsoft, Motorola, SAP, and PayPal, I recently started working as an Associate at a start-up called L2 Think Tank.  L2 is a membership organization that brings together thought leadership from academia and industry to drive digital marketing innovation.

Last summer, I decided to start this blog because as a Board member for the DMEF, and someone who benefited from help from the organization and its members, I want to give back and share what I personally think is interesting about the field and also any opportunities and tips for college students looking for their first jobs in marketing.

In my free time I love fantasy football, traveling, reading, eating delicious food and playing field hockey with my club team in NYC.
